The group “É O Tchan”, which has been touring Brazil since the end of last year, with the tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of the group’s formation, has just released its latest song entitled “Jogadinha”. Music is the band’s bet for summer 2025. A phenomenon in the 90s, and one of the most successful bands in Brazil and the world, “É o Tchan” has sold more than 16 million records, including 15 CDs and three DVDs.

Under the influence of what, since the previous decade, had been known as “Bahian pagode”, a modern and urban version of the traditional samba de roda, or “samba duro”, from Recôncavo da Bahia, the group began a trajectory of hard work, but also of great success. A reference for other bands in the Bahia entertainment market, Beto Jamaica and Compadre Washington are experiencing the bonus of musical maturity acquired in 30 years of history. During this time, the group conquered Brazil and the world, and became a craze that reached fans of all ages. É o Tchan became one of the biggest sales record holders in the history of Brazil. The most notable albums are: “Melô do Tchan”, released in 1995, and with one of the group’s best-known choreographies; “It’s Tchan in Hawaii” (1998) and “It’s Tchan in the Jungle” (1999).
