“Amália Hoje” is a Portuguese pop project created by musician Nuno Gonçalves (The Gift) in collaboration with Sónia Tavares (The Gift), Fernando Ribeiro (Moonspell) and Paulo Praça.To mark the 10th anniversary of Amália Hoje’s death, Nuno Gonçalves was invited by Valentim de Carvalho to reinterpret some songs from the vast catalog of “Diva do Fado”, having complete freedom of choice of compositions, collaborators, arrangements and the entire musical direction. Thus was born the album “Amália Hoje”, published in April 2009, with nine fados reinterpreted with a contemporary pop approach.
Now, the time has come to be able to watch this show again and the band returns to the stage in a concert on the 24th of June in the Salão Preto e Prata of Casino Estoril.
